Jaipur (Rajasthan), September 26 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot recently chaired the Agriculture Department meeting to review the various schemes of the department. In the meeting, CM said that the welfare of farmers is the top priority of the state government. Every effort should be made to increase the income of farmers, providing them necessary facilities and resources for advanced agriculture along with promoting agriculture processing. He also instructed the officials to work efficiently on the announcements made in the budget and effectively implement various welfare schemes for the farmers. Chief Minister stressed to promote good quality of seed production in the state, so that farmers do not have to buy seeds from outside at expensive prices. In the meeting, Gehlot also directed the officials to ensure the sowing targets for the Rabi crop, timely availability of fertilizers as per the demand and geographical requirements of the farmers.
