Providing social security to needy is Rajasthan Govt’s priority: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan), September 18 (ANI): A social empowerment camp was organized in Rajasthan’s Jaipur. On this occasion Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot distributed free assistance devices to differently-abled people and senior citizens. Walking sticks, hearing aids, goggles, artificial teeth, tri-cycles, moto-tricycle and skill development training certificates were also provided to the needy during the programme.Addressing the gathering Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that providing social security to needy sections of the society has always been a priority of the government. By simplifying the pension rules in our previous government, 60 lakh needy people were given pension benefits. It was such a historic decision of social security that not only supported destitute, poor and helpless people but it also increased their honour and respect.CM Gehlot underlined that Rajasthan is among the leading states in the country were despite limited resources social security schemes are being operated with full sensitivity.Chief Minister also said that our culture and values teach us to serve needy people.
