Nine Sugar Mills of Bihar to be reopened soon

Bihar Government is all set to reopen the 9 closed Sugar Sugar Mills in the state. This step is likely to boost the rural economy of those regions. It has come as a big relief to Sugarcane Farmers who were incurring heavy losses owing to no buyer of Sugarcanes. The step is also likely to bring down the sugar prices in the state.Bihar State Sugar Corporation will invite fresh bids for the revamp of these sugar mills.
the bids will be invited for Guraru, Warsaliganj, Goraul, New Sawan, Siwan, Hathua, Samastipur, Banmankhi and Lohat mills.
This would be done by SBI Caps, the financial consultant for giving factories of BSSC to private hands through competitive bidding.

Unlike the past biddings, when bidders had the only option of running sugar factories, in the latest round of bidding they would have the option of either reviving the closed sugar factories or using the asset for setting up other industries.
