New Delhi: India’s National Carrier Air India has suspended 17 Air Hostesses for not reporting to duty on time and causing delays in the flight departure. The Air Hostesses were suspended after they were found reporting late 3 or more times.
The suspension initiative of Air India has been carried out in tandem with its move to increase its On Time Performance (OTP) compared to other Air Lines.
Apart from this, AI has also suspended close to 270 Crew Members including Pilots and Air Hostesses for indiscipline.
After implementing these strict measures Air India reportedly saw an increase its its On Time Performance recently. Air India presently stands 3rd among Carriers based on their OTP with 79.4%.
