Zeeshan Ali Khan is a Mumbai resident, who came to limelight after being refused a job opportunity by a Multinational Firm for being a Muslim. This incident became a classic example of religious discrimination in India and many people have sharply attacked this practice.

A recent MBA graduate Khan applied for a marketing executive job at Mumbai-based diamond export company Hari Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd.
On Tuesday, the reply he got from the company read: “Thanks for your application. We regret to inform you that we hire only non-Muslim candidates.”
Khan immediately posted the reply on Facebook after which his social media post generated sharp reactions.

Mumbai Police have lodged a case against the firm on the youth’s complaint. “As per the law, there is punishment of 3 years. After investigation it will be revealed who is actually related to offence,” police inspector Suryakant Jagdale was quoted saying by Times of India.
Speaking on its defense, Hare Krishna Exports said that it was due to an error by one of its staff members and the company did not practice any religious discrimination.
