Highlights of UPSC Civil Services 2014 Results (declared in July 2015)

The Results of Union Public Service Commission UPSC Civil Services 2015 has been declared today on July 4, 2015. The UPSC Civil Services would be used for recruitment to IAS, IFS, IPS and other central services.

A total of 1,236 candidates have been recommended for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and central services.A total of 254 candidates have also been kept in a consolidated reserved list. A total of 180 candidates have been recommended to IAS, with 32 to IFS, 150 to IPS, 710 to Central Services group ‘A’ and 292 to group ‘B’ services. Result of one candidate has been withheld.

Ira Singhal topped the examination, with Renu Raj and Nidhi Gupta coming second and third. Ira Singhal’s parents expressed their pride over the result. Singhal’s father Rajendra Singhal said that it was just for a change that Ira gave UPSC exam and she topped it. Her mother said that Ira will work towards the betterment of the country, adding that it is like a dream come true for her as well as them

The civil services preliminary examination was conducted on August 24 last year at 2,137 venues in 59 centres across the country.

UPSC had declared the results of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2014 on April 14th. The Main Examination was held from 14th to 20th December 2014. A Total of 3308 candidates qualified for the Personality Test/Interview.

UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall in its campus. Candidates can obtain any information / clarification regarding their examinations / recruitments on the working days between 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours in person or over telephone Nos. 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543. Result will also be available on the U.P.S.C. website i.e. http//www.upsc.gov.in. Marks will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of Result. The marks sheets of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission’s Website within 15 days and will remain available on the Website for a period of 60 days.
