PATNA: The Patna High Court on Tuesday directed the National Council of Teachers’ Education (NCTE) to probe whether the government and private BEd colleges across Bihar were adhering to NCTE’s norms.
A division bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Mihir Kumar Jha directed the NCTE to set up a committee for the purpose within two weeks and submit a report about the status of inquiry on February 25, the next date of hearing of the case.
One Vijay Kumar has filed a PIL in the court alleging that one BEd college at Gaya was not adhering to the NCTE norms while imparting education to its students. He has also claimed that the college doesn’t have necessary infrastructure.
