Patna: Bihar is in the race for the setting up of an internationally-acclaimed Borlaug Institute, famous for Green Revolution, state Minister for Agriculture Renu Kumari said here.
“We are in the run for establishment of the Borlaug Institute of international standard for which the state will provide full facilities”, the Minister said.
A team of experts from Mexico visited the state early this month, officials said, reports PTI.
“The scientists mostly from the Borlaug’s institute in Mexico visited several places in the state and also went to the Rajendra Agriculture University campus at Pusa here”, they said.
“We are happy to know the response from them that they feel RAU a suitable place for setting up the institute, they said.
