New Delhi, Oct 6 (IANS) Minister of State for Finance Namo Narain Meena Wednesday flagged off a train carrying investors awareness messages as part of the Indian Railways and the finance ministry’s joint campaign to spread financial literacy.
Fourteen coaches of the Sealdah Rajdhani, which runs through key states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand, will carry Nifty images, educating investors of the precautions he should take before, during and after trading.
The coaches will also play audio messages throughout the 17-hour journey from Delhi to Sealdah and on the return journey as part of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) endeavour to educate investors.
Flagging off the New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani Express, Meena said the drive will educate people about the functioning of the market, operational intricacies and the risks involved in investing.
He added that people will get the message for accessing the right instruments for saving and understand their rights and responsibilities.
