An introduction to Bihar by a blogger

Bihar is the wealthiest region in the bank of river Ganga. The state is located in the Eastern coastal region of India. It experiences the best soil as it is in the midway of the West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. While West Bengal has humid soil

wealthy in nutrients, the soil of Uttar Pradesh is dry and rich with minerals. Bihar comes with a mixture of both and hence excels with many agricultural boons. The port of Kolkata is not far away from Bihar. Hence, transition to the outer world through sea is easier from this state. The state of Bihar is well bounded with Nepal at its Northern frontier, Jharkhand at its Southern frontier, West Bengal at its Eastern frontier and Uttar Pradesh at its Western frontier.

Bihar is the land of extreme conditions. It has the Himalayas in the north and hence gets the monsoon rainfall at the earliest. Since it joins the Ganga delta region it has rich soil and adapts to the climate of Assam. The sun gets hotter here than at any of the states. The summer is most likely as in the Uttar Pradesh region and the floods are most likely as in the West Bengal region. The Himalayan regions offer plenty of cold during the winter season.

The state is diverse with lot of natural resources like the rivers and forests. Several rivers run through the state of Bihar. The major river is the Ganges River and other rovers are Sarayu, Gandak, Falgu, Karmanasa, Durgawati, Sone, Poonpoon, Kosi and many more too. The most important among these rivers are the Sarayu and Gandak as they water the majority of the fields in the agricultural state. Forests are mostly deciduous as it is near the Himalayan mountain regions with extreme hot and cold climate. The most grown plants are the grass and the reeds. Other trees are Cedrela Toona, Khair, Shisham, and Shorea Robusta.

The fertile soil has not only given room for forest but also for agricultural lands. The local farmers grow famous crops like wheat, paddy, jute, and sugarcane. The production is in a very large number that the agricultural land has given room for industries to be established in these areas. Fruits such a litchis are very special here. Other common fruits like banana, mangoes, and jackfruits are grown abundantly here.

The wealthy agriculture production has lead to the growth of wide range of industries in Bihar. It has the famous jute factory, which gives our gunny bags. Several food-processing units have been established in the Bihar soil. In short, Bihar is the wealthy kid of our mother India.
