PATNA : Students of different institutions of the city had a thrilling experience of learning the techniques of producing 3D films at a two-day workshop organized by BIT-Patna in association with RoboTech Labs-Delhi.
Besides students from NIT-Patna, those from IIT- Patna, Patna Women’s College, Notre Dame Academy and several other institutions learnt the application of 3D software at the workshop. The participants were also acquainted with modern photographic techniques.
The workshop was a part of a series of such activities being organised at BIT-Patna in the run-up to its annual technical extravaganza, ‘Technica 2011’, to be held from March 11 to 13. The event would feature various technical, non-technical and managerial events with a view to bringing students closer to science and technology.
Meanwhile, a two-day cultural and sports festival ‘REVA 2011’, sponsored by Indian Oil in association with the Association for India’s Development and BIT-Patna, concluded on Sunday. The event was meant for children of six government schools and two economically weak communities. Sports, games, dance and music marked the event at which the best performers were awarded prizes.
Bihar State Commission for Protection of Child Rights chairperson Nisha Jha, Central University of Bihar VC Janak Pandey and BIT director K K Srivastava addressed the students on the occasion.
