Patna: In a bid to deliver better citizen services and maintain transparency, the Bihar government has decided to make an Information Technology roadmap for all the government departments.
“Internal processes of all the departments would be computerised so that citizen services could be made available in time,” Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said in a state level e-Governance programme implementation council meeting on Wednesday.
He also directed the officials of the Land Revenue Department to update and digitise land records using IT.
He also stressed the need for a plan budget for IT and e-Governance for all government departments.
He said the smart cards issued to the employees for entering in Secretariat offices should be used also for recording their attendances.
