PATNA: With a view to reversing the recent trend of declining interest in pure sciences amongst the GenNext and to making the science teaching more attractive and interesting, a group of dedicated physics teachers from across the country, led by H C Verma of IIT, Kanpur, shall be holding an interactive session from June 4 to 6 at the Patna Science College physics department.
“This group of enthusiastic physics teachers is dedicated to the development of science education in general and physics education in particular in the country. The forthcoming meet will be the third in the series, the two previous meets were held at Agra and Chandigarh,” said convener Amarendra Narayan and co-convener Rakesh Kumar Singh.
The group, popularly known as ‘Utsahi Physics Teachers’ Group’, advocates experiment-assisted physics teaching for revitalizing physics education. As many as 15 senior resource persons drawn from different parts of the country conduct workshops for teachers as well as students to inspire basic science teaching and research through innovative methods.
