New Delhi, Jun 12 (PTI) The sequel to ”Bheja Fry” is all set to entertain audiences later this week and actor Kay Kay Menon, who stars as the parallel lead with Vinay Pathak, said the film is better than the original.
Directed by Sagar Ballary, ”Bheja Fry”, released in 2007, was a regarded as a path-breaker of sorts, garnering rave reviews as well as box office returns, which has led to much anticipation about the second installment.
“Bheja Fry 2 is better and will definitely meet people”s expectations. The film has been made on a larger scale and the story has been fleshed out well,” Menon told PTI.
The 43-year-old actor plays an industrialist, whose nature is the exact opposite of Bharat Bhushan, played by Pathak in the film.
“If Bheja Fry can be considered a dish, Vinay plays the cook and it is my brain which is on the frying pan. My character is the absolute anti-thesis of that of Bharat Bhushan and is totally irritated by him in the movie,” said Menon.
The actor, who has tried his hand at comedy earlier in ”Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd”, is all set to tickle the funny bones with this June 17 release, also starring Minnissha Lamba and Amol Gupte.
Menon shot to fame with the critically acclaimed ”Hazaron Khwaishen Aisi” and went on to prove his mettle with films like ”Black Friday”, ”Sarkar” and ”Gulaal”. (MORE) PTI BB VSS
