The 6th Bihar Science Congress would commence from September 27, 2013 and would continue till September 29. The Three Day Congress will witness participation of  hundreds of Scientists, Researchers, Students from Bihar and other states.
The Venue of the Congress is Indira Gandhi Science Complex, which has the Planetarium nearby. It is being organized by Bihar Council of Science and Technology. The event would also mark the formal launch of Bihar Academy of Sciences.
The Organizers have received requests for 250 Research Papers to be  presented during the congress.  There would be prizes in different Sections including, Chemical and physical sciences, Life sciences, Agricultural sciences and medical sciences, Technology and society, Mathematical sciences, Information technology and computer sciences, Engineering sciences, Environmental sciences and water management and Natural resource management.
The organizing committee or the Science Congress consists of Rajmani Prasad Sinha, S P Verma, R K Verma, Central University of Bihar vice-chancellor Prof. Janak Pandey and Prof. Â K C Sinha.
