Doctors treating Legendary actor Dilip Kumar say that his Health Condition is stable but would be kept under observation in ICU for next 48 hours. The 90 year old actor was recently admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after suffering a heart attack on Sunday afternoon.
“Dilip Saab is doing fine. He is recovering, but is under observation. There is nothing to worry. He will be there in hospital for two-three (more) days,” a close family member said.
A press release from the Hospital on September 16 said that Dilip Kumar had suffered a myocardial infarction (heart attack) on Sunday. All treatment as per protocol was instituted. At present his condition is stable.The hospital also stated that, “In view of his advanced age and post bypass status, he needs close monitoring in the ICU.”
The Health Condition of Dilip Kumar is often subjected to Media rumours. In September 2011, some rumours surfaced on Twitter about his death, at the time when he was admitted to hospital. Later his wife Saira Banu made a public statement that the actor is in good health and in high spirits. The veteran actor had undergone a heart surgery 14 years ago.
The legendary actor is known for his memorable roles in films like “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Madhumati”, “Devdas” and “Ganga Jamuna”.
