Big B, Sonakshi Sinha in Biopic of Indian Prisoner Sarabjit Singh

Amitabh Bachchan is likely play a key role in the Biopic of Indian Prisoner n Pakistan Sarabjit Singh. Singh, a prisoner since 1990, was lodged in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail  and was killed in May 2013 when some inmates attacked and injured him seriously.

The Script for the movie  has been written by Rajesh Beri and will be directed by Ishwar Singh Muchhal.

The Movie is being made by noted Filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who has confirmed this development.

He said that actor Anurag Sinha would play the role of Indian Prisoner Sarabjit Singh. He however did not specify the role played by Amitabh Bachchan,

“We have given him the script to read. He liked it. The moment the film is finalised we will announce it”, Subhash Ghai was quoted saying.

Ghai has already taken permission from Late Sarabjit Singh ‘s Family. Reports are also that Actress Sonakshi Sinha might play Dalbir Kaur, the sister of Sarabjit Singh.

“Dalbir Kaur’s struggle is more inspirational. For 22 years, she fought for his freedom with an undying spirit. The film’s heroine’s character is inspired by Dalbir”, says Ghai.
