Indian Athlete MC Mary Kom has revealed that she was molested by a Rickshaw puller when she was 18 years old. She however managed to outpower the Assaulter and fled from the spot.

Mary was born in 1983, so this incident might have taken place in 2000-01.  Speaking  at a meeting organized by FICCI Women’s Association she urged women to go for learning Self-Defense.
Coming to the incident, she narrated that it was Sunday. and she  was going to Church wearing a traditional wraparound dress. Since she was late, she called for a rickshaw to the Church.  However,  the rickshaw puller caught her hand and tried to molest her. Undeterred by the sudden act of that man, she kicked him as well as punched him hard, which rendered him unconscious. Taking the advantage of the situation, she fled from the spot.
Her Biography, titled Unbreakable, was released in December 2013. A Biopic on her life is being made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali where the role of Mary Kom is essayed by former Miss World and Actress Priyanka Chopra.
Mary Kom married Onler Kom in 2005 after 4 years of dating. They first met in 2001 when Mary was at New Delhi on her way to  National Games in Punjab. Onler was studying Law at Delhi University at that time. The couple has two sons  Rechungvar and Khupneivar, who happen to be Twins.
