Rosa Khutor (Russia):Â Austrian Anna Fenninger won the women’s Super-G gold medal by clocking 1:25.52 at the Sochi Olympics on Saturday.
Germany’s Maria Hoefl-Riesch, the Super-combined winner on Monday, won the silver at 0.55 seconds slower and Nicole Hosp of Austria took the bronze, a further 0.11 seconds away, Xinhua reported.
Fenninger  competes in all five alpine disciplines and was world champion in the super combined in 2011. In late December 2011, Fenninger won her first World Cup event in Lienz, Austria, in the giant slalom. Her most consistent World Cup podium results have been in the super G. After another giant slalom win in Austria in December 2012, Fenninger’s first super G victory came in March 2013 in Germany.
