Flora Coquerel to delegate France at Miss World 2014 Beauty Pageant

Flora Coquerel would represent France at Miss World 2014 Beauty Pageant to be held later this year. Flora is  of Beninese-French descent and was crowned Miss France 2014 in December 2013. She represented the region of Orléanais at the pageant.

One of the first words she said to the journalists after recovering from her emotions are: “Je suis fière de représenter une France cosmopolite” meaning, “I’m honoured to represent a cosmopolitan France”

She is 19 year old and was born in 1994 at Mont-Saint-Aignan, France. She is 1.82 m in height and her hair color is black.

Earlier she had also won the title of Miss Orleans 2013 and she represented Orleans at Miss France 2014.

After her coronation as Miss France,  a racist firestorm emerged on Facebook and Twitter, as her mother  was black and Flora had a bit dark complexion.
