India’s envoy to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri to present letters of credential today

Kathmandu (Nepal), Mar 26 (ANI): Indian envoy to Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri, on Saturday arrived in Kathmandu, where he is expected to present letters of credential to President Bidya Devi Bhandari. Puri, an IFS officer, has been recently appointed as the 24th Ambassador of India to Nepal. He has previously served as the Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations. He had also been the member of India’s Security Council for two years. Letters of credentials are instrument by which the head of a state exercises his or her power to appoint ambassadors and ministers to foreign countries.
