Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar government has asked the master planner Abhijit Sen to modify the Vision 2020 Plan for Patna in such a way that the landscape and waterscape on Gangetic land of the state capital could be developed.
The step has been taken by the urban development department following a directive from the chief minister, Nitish Kumar.
According to reports the chief minister is learnt to have directed the officials concerned to develp the reclaim areas on the bank of the Ganga to make it a tourist spot in coordination with the state tourism department.
The main thrust would be on the development of the areas extending from Digha to Rajapul, from where the Ganga has shifted northward.
However, many experts feel that it would not be good to use the reclaimed land for tourism or commercial purpose as Himalayan rivers are known for changing their course.
