PATNA: Most of his friends are holidaying. Some are busy pursuing hobbies. They have cleared IIT-JEE, one of the most gruelling entrance tests and they are using this interim period before classes begin a month later, by chilling out.
Jayanth is one such Patna boy. He came out with flying colours this year, securing 168th rank. But he has chosen to be different and use this time in a more productive way.
This teenager wants to help engineering aspirants so that they can prepare themselves more methodically. And he would be rendering his services free of cost. “There is no dearth of good teachers in the state, but engineering aspirants in Bihar have to move from one place to another for getting guidance for different subjects. I intend to help such aspirants by sharing the success mantra with them,†said Jayanth, who studied at DAV Khagaul till Class X and did his XII from DPS R K Puram, New Delhi.
He said selection of books is very important and “I would share my experience on this front with those seeking guidance.â€
Jayanth has also done quite well in Olympiads organised for different science subjects and is also willing to share the secret of doing well in such events with city students. “There is no system in place in Patna using which students can prepare themselves for Olympiads. I will share with them what I learnt in Delhi,†he said.
Incidentally, this boy intends to continue this process in future as well. “I will be available for help during vacations,†he said.
His parents appear happy at their son’s willingness to help others. “I feel proud, for my son wants to help others without expecting anything in return,†said his father Prabhat Kumar Jaiswal, who happens to be the divisional forest officer of Begusarai.
He said his son is in the habit of helping others right from his childhood. “When he expressed his desire to help engineering aspirants we readily agreed,†the father said.
