Indian Bank (IB) CMD T M Bhasin on Sunday said the bank has decided to add more than 60 branches in Eastern and North Eastern states.
He said that out of 1,756 branches in across the country, Indian Bank has 197 branches in these state which will be increased to 260 by March 2011. Bhasin was accompanied by IB executive director, A S Bhatacharya. In Bihar, the bank will add 15 branches and 10 ATMs to its network. Patna Circle of Indian Bank, as on date, is having a business of Rs 1,300 crore which will be taken to Rs 2,000 crores by March 2011.
Bank officers have been asked to increase disbursal of loans and to increase Credit Deposit ratio at least by 10 percent by next March, said Bhasin while addressing a press conference.
