Pvt schools shut tomorrow

PATNA: Private schools in the city, owing allegiance to the Bihar Public School & Children Welfare Association, will remain closed on July 10 in view of the bandh called by the RJD-LJP alliance in protest against rise in prices of petro products.

A decision to the effect was taken at a meeting of the association on Thursday. Association president DK Singh and general secretary RS Sharma said the decision has been taken to spare the children the unpleasant experience of venturing out of their homes during such bandhs.

The association has urged political parties to exempt schools from the purview of their bandhs in future in the interest of students.
