Dy CM launches National Health Insurance Scheme in Patna

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi launched National Health Insurance Scheme in Patna on December 17, 2010. The scheme covers BPL families with not more than five members in a family. The insurance sum is Rs 30,000 per family. Beneficiaries will not have to pay any premium as Central Government will play 75 per cent while Bihar Government will pay rest of the 25 per cent. The Insured family will have to pay Rs 30 for smart card.
