Patna, Jan 24 (PTI) Bihar government has planned to completely eradicate polio by 2011, according to state Health Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
“We have planned to completely eradicate polio in Bihar by 2011”, Choudbey said today.
He said as against 117 cases of poliomyelitis detected in the state in 2009, only nine cases were reported last year.
The District Magistrates have also been asked to overseee polio eradication programmes, he said. PTI AJK
