The Bihar government today said they are trying to obtain International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certification for all medical colleges and hospitals in the state to ensure quality.
“Sincere efforts are being made for ensuring quality facilities and services at all the six medical colleges and hospitals in Bihar to obtain ISO certification,” state health department’s principal secretary Marjit Sinha told reporters.
For ensuring quality in service and facilities, a study was underway and it was expected that the study report will be available within two to three months, he said.
“We are also trying to secure the national accreditation board of hospital recognition for all the six medical colleges in Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, and Bhagalpur,” he said.
The state government had evolved an action plan for strengthening the health centres at block levels
