Bihar CM gets Maulana Mazharul Haque Award 2011

PATNA: Indian Association for Bihar and Jharkhand (IABJ) and Bihar Foundation Doha-Qatar will confer the Maulana Mazharul Haque Award 2011 on Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar for his services in the field of strengthening basic education with special facilities to girls and an overall development of Bihar. On the other hand, noted medical practitioner Dr Ahmed Abdul Hai will be conferred Veer Kunwar Singh Award, 2011.

They will be conferred the awards on the occasion of Bihar Diwas on March 22 the day Bihar was carved out of Bengal Presidency in 1912 at a function to be held in Qatar. The function will be held under the aegis of Embassy of India to Qatar, according to a release issued by IABJ president Shakil Ahmed Kakvi in Patna on Monday.
