Patna, Feb 3 (PTI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the state had a right to get the special state category to enable it get substantial investments for removing backwardness. “The state has full right to be granted the special state category,” he told reporters on his return from Delhi, where he had met central leaders and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia. Referring to his meeting with the Prime Minister, Kumar said he had made a strong pitch for considering the demand for granting the special state status to Bihar “and we will continue to press for the same through various platforms till it is fulfilled.” “The special status will facilitate huge investments in a backward state like Bihar,” he said.
