PATNA: Centenary celebration of International Women’s Day is a reminder of struggles and achievements of women in the society ever since the beginning of mankind. The day was marked by various events in different parts of the state capital and the state.
As part of the celebration, Sonepur railway station under the Sonepur division of East Central Railway turned into an all-women station on Tuesday. About 60 woman employees ‘manned’ the station, with female employees not only controlling the movement of trains but also working of signals and rolling stock.
RK Agrawal, DRM, Sonepur, said, “Woman employees have picked up the skills with same competency as men. They are now handling all jobs, including those of assistant station master and ticket collector.”
Under well educated, sincere and dynamic leadership of Er Nitish Kumarji, there is no looking back for Bihar.
