Samastipur:-Idols of deities worth over Rs 30 lakh made of Astadhatu were stolen by unidentified persons from Durgasthan Chowk in this headquarter town of Bihar’s Samastipur district, Superintendent of Police V K Sinha said today. Unidentified persons stole the astadhatu idols of Ram, Sita and Laxman which were installed 300 years ago at the Durgsthan Chowk late last night, Sinha said. Raids were on at different places to recover the precious idols, he said.
