Google’s Andriod based tablets are gradually out-numbering the sale of Apple’s iPad.As per sources, Android based tabs accounted for over 27% of global tablet sold in last quarter witnessing a gross increment of 2.3% as compared to the same period in last year. At the same time the sale of iPad has shown a steep decline from 96% to 67%.
The gang of Andriod based tabs is lead by Samsung, followed by Asustek Computer, Acer and Motorola. Samsung had introduced several new tabs in the last quarter which resulted in the out-growth.Samsung accounts for about 9% of global Andriod market.
Amazon is also expected to join the tablet race with gadgets pricing half to that of Apple’s iPad.
The entry of low cost Aakash tab by India in commercial market by November end, is also expected to tap the tablet market in India.
