Film on Nawada to be screened in South Africa

Nawada a small district in Bihar would be shown in the big screens of Durban in South Africa. A documentary film portraying the energy woes of this small town has been made by a student of National Institute of Design Anhmedabad and will be screened in Durban

The film named Recharge has been made by Sabika Muzaffar, a student of NID and was selected for screening by Television for the Environment (TVE), a UK-based organization.

The film displays the prevailing acute shortage of power in Bihar Villages and the dire consequences of it. Villagers have to pay Rs 5 to charge their mobile phones every other day. This was theme behind its name.

United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) has sponsored her travel and stay at Durban. She is giving finl touch to the film and would be ready by this month’s end. This film along with others would be uploaded to a website and the viewers would declare the best among them.
