Former President and highly regarded Nuclear Scientist Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam became the teacher for the Members of Bihar Legislature. In this role Kalam envisaged the need of Developmental Politics and also suggested Eight- Point Formula for Bihar’s Development. He was addressing a program focused on the development of Bihar
“It must be a matter of pride for you all having spent years as legislators but your role as representatives will be proved only when your efforts satisfy those who have sent you to the House to serve them,†said Kalam, addressing members of both Houses of the Bihar legislature.
Dr. Kalam also agreed to be a teacher at Nalanda International University. Kalam asked the legislators to practice “political politics as well as politics of development instead of electoral politics. There is an urgent need to practice the politics of trust also. Satisfy others to satisfy yourselfâ€.
Earlier, Kalam had sent a questionnaire to the legislators on how they could develop their constituencies. Some legislators also put forth questions to Kalam which he explained in detail.
Dr. Kalam focused on the boosting of Agriculture and Tourism both of which have immense potential in Bihar.
He asked Govt. to develop Buddhist religious circuit in Bihar.Approximately One Crore People visit Bihar every year and Government should harness this sector for Bihar’s development
