Bihar State Road Transport Corporation has finally introduced Mercedes Benz Bus Services on the roads of Bihar. These Buses will ply daily between Patna – Ranchi, Patna – Gaya and Patna- Jamshedpur.
Counted as luxury class buses, these are fully Air-Conditioned and fitted with GPRS, TV and Wi-Fi. Each Bus costs around Rs 1.20 Crores. As many as 9 such Buses would start plying from December 12 and with a scope of the increase in the number in near future.
These buses are first of its kind in the Entire Eastern India and would add to the fame of Bihar. Earlier these buses used to ply only between bug cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. These are operated on the usual Public Private Partnership mode. The Private player is Girish Infrastructure Company owned by a former MP of Andhra Pradesh.
Bihar Chief Minister Sri Nitish Kumar has already flagged off the service on Saturday by paying a small ride from Raj Bhawan to Secretariat. These buses are expected to give a big boost to the tourism in the state particularly by luring the foreign tourists.
The journey on these buses are moderately priced with ticket starting from Rs 310. The detailed fares are given below

Patna- Jamshedpur – Rs 695
Gaya- Ranchi- Rs 310
