The most enthralling cultural extravaganza of Bihar, Rajgir Mahotsav is due to begin in another 2 days. Dubbed as tourist abode of Bihar, Rajgir will host this event starting from December 27 to 29 Dec, 2011. Amidst chilling cold, this would provide the tourists a reason to rejoice.
Dont forget this time, it is going to be special with the presence of Bollywood singer Alka Yagnik and the duo Gajal Singer Roop Rathod and Sonali Rahtod.
The inaugural function would be graced by Prince Dance Troupe, which won first in India Got Talent show. Additionally it would host a number of artists including Bipin Kumar, Ashok Chakradhar, Chetan Rana, Satyendra Kumar, Manoranjan Ojha, Jagat Pathak, Swrangan, Aishwarya Nigam and folk artistes.
The Cultural Aspects of Bihar would be showcased using ‘palki sajja’, ‘tanga sajja’, ‘kisan shree mela’, ‘gram shree mela’, ‘sarva dharma manglacharan, ‘mahila mahotsav’ etc.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is expected to inaugurate this 3 day function.

Tourists can also enjoy adventure sports and rides. There would be facilities of rock climbing, parasailing and paragliding at the hills of Rajgir. There is a ropeway for going to the top  monasteries  on hills
