Bihar Government has planned to create another Green Revolution in Bihar. In an innovative roadmap, it plans to double the net Agriculture output in another 5 year span. It is likely to spend a whooping sum of Rs 152511 Crores rupees for this purpose.  This time Government is keen to seek help of Private  and Non-Government sector in a major role. The funds are mostly expected to be as investment from Private Sector.
The Whole procedure has been given a term Rainbow Revolution by the state department.  An Agriculture Cabinet (not to be confused with usual cabinet) has been setup comprising of 17 Government Departments. A Resource Management group has also been setup to mobilise funds for the development activities.
The Plan would en-cover the increase in production of traditional foodgrains, cash crops and other allied sectors such as fisheries, dairies and poultry.
In a related move, Agriculture which is the lifestream of Bihar would be made a compulsory subject since class 9 in intermediate studies.
