Patna University Website which was lying defunct for the past five years has been relaunched with major design change at www.patnauniversity.ac.in It was launched by Vice-chancellor Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh.
Prof. Singh said that with the re-launch of the website, students would not have to depend on the university notices for everything. They can get information by just clicking on the website of the university.
Now it displays updated information related to the university, including the university act and strictures, dates of examinations and results, tenders and advertisements for appointment of teachers.
The home page of the website carries the VC’s message with a picture of the main campus of the university with its brief description. At the bottom of the main page there are five columns mentioning campus activities, research/training, students’ corner, teachers’ corner and latest news about the university.
On the left side of the home page, there are other details about the university, including the university directory, teaching faculty, postgraduate departments, colleges under the varsity, examination schedule, seminars and other activities.
There is also a column on the right to information and right to service acts on which students can level queries. The website carries information on anti-ragging measures adopted by the university.
