Bihar CM Office goes Green

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has opted to go green. Solar energy will now light up his official residence-cum-office.

“The cabinet has approved Rs.4.5 crore for installing sloar panels and other equipment,” an official said.

The Bihar Renewable Energy Developoment Agency has been assigned the work.

Last year, Nitish Kumar had expressed a desire to convert the thermal power system to a solar one.

Officials say that new and renewable energy sources have the potential to generate around 2,000 MW of power in the state.
