Bihar secures Investment proposals of Rs 2.65 Lakhs Crores

Bihar has received Investment proposals from several Business Houses worth Rs 2.65 Lakhs Crores till date. This was revealed by a minister in the State Assembly.

A total of 603 Business Proposals have been received so far, half of which are of Food Processing Industries.

In reality, only 60 Industrial units have been established till date amounting to an investment worth Rs 3728 Crores.

In the agriculture and FMCG sector, the state government received DPRS of 98 projects with an estimated investment of Rs 1.60 lakh crore out of which 35 projects were implemented comprising 15 rice mills, five flour mills, two maize processing units, while the other projects were at different stages of execution.

In the Road Construction, Bihar has formidable Investment from Private Players. Over Rs 332 crore has been invested for Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur road and Rs 619 crore for Ara-Mohaniya express in private sector in Bihar which was unprecedented in the state’s history. Kumar Manglam Birla’s Ultratech was making an investment of Rs 500 crore, besides six other companies including Ambuja company have finalised investment for setting up cement factories by using fly ash.
