Poonam Pandey will release her debut movie in December 2012
Internet Strip Girl, Poonam Pandey is all set to make her Bollywood debut. After rejecting 30 film offers, Poonam claims to have finally signed one – only to pit it against the release of actor Sunny Leone’s Jism 2 this December.
Giving an insight into her upcoming film, her business strategist was quoted saying, “It’ll be the boldest film that the Indian audience has ever experienced. The first look will be out by the end of April or the first week of May.”
Aditya Bhatia the marketing head of the production house, which is making the film, too has confirmed the news and has refuted rumours that the flick will be based on Poonam’s life.
Poonam has charged Rs 1cr for this ‘bold film’. National marketing head Aditya Bhatia of Eagle Home Entertainment says, “We have full faith in Poonam and are therefore riding so much money on her. We have paid her a crore and the budget of the film is around Rs 7-8cr. Amit Saxena, who directed Jism, is directing our film.”
The model-turned-actor is so sure of her film’s success that she is unperturbed that it clashes with Sunny’s flick. “I am neither competing with her nor sharing my audience. She is good at what she does and I am excellent at my job. It is a conscious decision to release our film with Jism 2. I know everyone is going to love my film,” says the leggy lass.
“We have signed Poonam and we will be making an announcement by the end of the month. Poonam was our first preference as she has a lot of potential and will make a lovely actor. Why would we make a film based on her life? Her life is out in the open in cyberspace. The film will show her in a different light,” Bhatia was quoted to have said.
He’s not scared of the clash either. “It will be a clash of the Titans, and will make big noise. And as content is the king, we are sure about our product’s success,” he adds.
Poonam too has declared that film will have an array of bold scenes and that she’ll be seen in a different avatar altogether. “Removing one’s clothes is also an art, not everybody can show their skin. You will see me in a different avatar in the film. Bold scenes and Poonam go hand in hand. If I am there, bold scenes have to be a part of the film. So far, people have seen only 5% of me. Now they will see my real talent,” the 21-year-old bikini model was quoted saying.
