IIT Kanpur retains the spot of India’s No 1 Engineering College

IIT Kanpur, has retained its position as India’s No. 1 Engineering College in India, according to India Today AC Neilson Survey  of Colleges in India  2012. Last year also IIT Kanpur stood ahead of all IITs in ranking.

The List of Top 20 Engineering Colleges in 2012 as outlined by India Today Survey is given below.

While most IITs top the list, IIT Guwahati slipped down to NIT Trichy and NIT Surathkal. NIT Surathkal has for the first time made a spot in Top 10.

BIT Mesra has made a epic comeback from its position of 21 for last 2 years, to Rank 16 which is its best  after 2005, when it figured in top 10 Engineering colleges of India.
