How to Find out if your computer is affected by DNS Changer Bot?

Method 1

Visit  http://www.dns-ok.us/  to check if you are or are not infected. Compare the result with that given below.

  • No Software is Downloaded! The tools do not need to to load any software on your computer to perform the check.
  • No changes are performed on your computer! Nothing is changed on your computer when you use sites like http://www.dns-ok.us/.
  • No scanning!  The “are you infected with DNS Changer” tool does not need to scan your computer.

Method 2

Manually Find your DNS Servers

1.Open Run under windows

2. type cmd and press enter

3. Enter the command ipconfig/all

4. Go to the Line corresponding to DNS Servers  and note the number corresponding to it e.g 121.242.190.210

5. Visit https://forms.fbi.gov/check-to-see-if-your-computer-is-using-rogue-DNS

6. Enter the DNS Server address in the Form there and click Check Your DNS. If it says Your IP is not configured to use the rogue DNS servers, it means that your Computer is not affected and you need not worry
