Meet Anita Advani, who was very less known to media, but after Super star Rajesh Khanna’s death she has become a news maker.  50 year old Advani  was supposedly a live-in partner of Rajesh Khanna for past 8 years who died last week at the age of 69.  After her alleged refusal to move out of Rajesh’s bungalow Ashirvad, she has been hitting news headlines every day.
Advani had sent a notice to Khanna’s family asking them to not evict her from Ashirwad, the actor’s bungalow on Carter Road in Bandra, Mumbai.
She was allegedly asked by Rajesh Khanna’s son-in-law Akshay Kumar to get off the late actor’s hearse, since it was meant to be ‘only for family’.
Khanna had said he had known Advani for 32 years. She was in school then. He is very fond of her but they are not in love. But it has all changed with Khanna’s death. Advani rues the fact that Khanna’s family didn’t even allow her to be present during the last rites
There has been disputes between her and Rajesh Khanna’s Family. Â In a recent interview she was heard saying, “I want Aashirwad to be made a museum. The allegations against me are wrong; I have no greed or interest in this property. This property should go to the people of the country and be made a museum.
A member from Anita’s family  said, “Anitaji is not keeping well at all. She cries the entire day. She is not even having food or water; she only keeps on chanting God’s name. Right now, she is staying with her sister in Grant Road and her family members feel whatever is happening with her, she didn’t deserve it.â€
Advani, in an interview in May, said she’s a childhood friend of the superstar and had been dating Khanna for the past eight years until his death. She is the niece of the former President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos. Advani was a regular visitor to Khanna’s bungalow and gave company to the ailing superstar. They would be seen together, eating paani puri at a local market.
“I am great friends with Rajesh Khanna. I have known him for a very long time. I love him… who doesn’t,” she told Mid-Day at that time. Advani met Khanna at a shooting as a child and but grew close only until recently.
“I feel very privileged to be very-very close to him. He is a very intelligent and romantic person. We hang out. We are at home together. We do go out for dinners and go on after-dinner drives,” she said. But the relationship was unique.
“We are so close. We don’t want any strings attached. I think we are very happy as we are. It’s a very special, sacred relationship and I truly cherish it. Unlike a normal relationship, there are no demands and expectations. This is much deeper,” she said.
