Netizens are paying a smart farewell to Brett Lee upon his retirement from International Cricket. He announced his retirement from international cricket after a 13-year career.
Few days back, Brett Lee and Shane Watson were ruled out of final England ODI due to injuries. He would however continue to play in Indian Premiere League and Australian Big Bash League.
He woke up this morning and realised he didn’t want to play cricket for Australia any more. It was as simple and as uncomplicated as that.
He is battling an injury, the calf muscle strain that forced him home from the one-day tour of UK that ended in a disastrous 4-0 series loss to England.

“I woke up this morning and knew I had to call it quits today. Friday the 13th, 13 years (since his Test debut), I thought it was pretty appropriate,” he told Channel Nine.
“I think personally in a team environment you have to have 100 percent commitment — mentally and physically,” he told a press conference at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
“And I guess looking at the next few months I just didn’t have that desire any more”.
“It wouldn’t be fair on me, or my team if I went with that attitude… you get to the point in life where you say enough is enough”.
His Fans on Twitter have been paying their tribute to the Smiling Assassin as he was dubbed on Cricket Field.
