Speaking on fifth day of his agitation at Delhi’s Ramlila Ground, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Monday asked his supporters to get ready to fight against black money and corruption. He told his supporters that they will march towards the parliament and protest there to force the blind and deaf government to listen to them. The yoga guru said that the Congress government at the centre is sinking ship and asked its allies to stop supporting it.

We are not terrorists. We never wanted to take this step to go and protest outside Parliament; however it is the government’s apathy which has forced us. We will follow the principles of non-violence and expect the police also not to use force against us,” Baba Ramdev said this morning.

“We don’t want to malign government. It has earned bad image because of itself. The Congress can’t blame us for not giving notice. The Congress uses an honest Prime Minister as a shield,” said Baba Ramdev.

The party that has ruled the country for the longest is responsible for graft. We have given enough time to the government to act on our demands,” he added.

Ramdev urged the supporters to boycott the Congress government and remove the central government in the next general elections.

At the Ramlila maidan this morning, there are five to six thousand people. With crowds thinning at his rally, the yoga guru had said yesterday that his five-day fast would end in jail; he also promised the beginning of a “big revolution” starting today. On the first day of his protest last week, 20, 000 people had gathered. Sources say BJP President Nitin Gadkari and JD(U)’s Sharad Yadav may come to the Ramlila maidan today; Janata Dal chief Subramanian Swamy paid an early morning visit.

BJP President Nitin Gadkari and JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav are likely to go to Ramlila Maidan to join yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

According to media reports, Ramdev will face arrest if he tries to march towards the Parliament. Reportedly, the Delhi police has denied permission of a march and are expected to arrest him if he tries to march.

A stadium in the capital is being prepared by the Delhi Police to act as a makeshift jail where Baba Ramdev and his supporters will be put in case they insist on continuing their protest march, the sources said.
