After Gangs of Wasseypur, another Bihar Centric Movie is going to create waves across country. Das Capital- City of Slaves, a movie directed by Dayal Nihalani and Rajen Kothari is shot in a filmset of 1980’s in Bihar.
It pictures the life of Middle Class of Bihar which suffers despite all political drama and focuses on Human Trafficking. As the name suggests (City of Slaves), the film is all about imposed slavery and harsh realities. It is a satire on the present system of politics, bureaucracy and inherent corruption in the society. The Film though shot in Maharashtra recreates various locations of Bihar.

Purshottam (Yashpal Sharma) is compelled to make some hard choices because of happenings around him. He is forced to sell the body of his wife to a man who is into the illegal business of making and selling skeleton from unclaimed and deserted corpses. The administration celebrates during the period of natural calamities. Bureaucrats and politicians survive on what they harvest from relief funds. The middle class is crushed under the pressure of money and corruption. This dreadfully pushes the common man to die as victim of circumstances
