Bihar has more supply than demand of LPG Cylinders contrary to the popular belief about the shortage. This was revealed by Sajjan Kumar, GM, Indian Oil Corporation in Patna.
According to Kumar, the three bottling plants at Patna, Barauni and Muzaffarpur produced 36,500 cylinders per day, while the demand was just 33,000 cylinders.
There are adequate supply to meet the demand of domestic subsidized, non-subsidized, non-domestic exempted (for schools, colleges and charitable organizations) and non-domestic commercial LPG cylinders.
Regarding filling  Know Your Customer Form, he said that existing consumers with single connection  are not required fill the KYC form. Those  consumers who have multiple connections are required to fill  the KYC (Know Your Customer) Form by October 31.
The consumers who have multiple connections are divided into three categories – same name and same address, different name and same address and incomplete address. About 90% consumers with same name and same address have already been blocked.
“This would also help in identifying such households where connections have been issued in the name of different family members of the same house,” said Kumar. Also, some consumers, especially those hailing from rural areas give incomplete address. It’s difficult to identify them. So they too have to fill the KYC form. Once the data bank is collected, the list of all such consumers would be displayed at showrooms of distributors.

As per Ambedkar Indane occupied by Mr. Chandrama Majhi the supply of LPG is too less than demand where the G.M. IOC saying that supply of LPG in Bihar is more than demand. For example a LPG connection has transferred from Orissa to Mairwa, Siwan in the name of MR. Pankaj Mishra,Village Tekania of Guthani block and the documents was submitted on 30.03.2013 but the connection has not activated till date. The agency persons are saying that IOC has stopped supply of cylinders and we can not assure when we shall be able to activate your connection.
A serious public complaint arises that ” if a person expends 7 to 10 thousand rupees, can get LPG connection within a week” but as per government rates no body can obtain a connection in his life. This is the realty and fact of Bihar Govt. and IOC also.
The statement of Mr. Sajjan Kumar (G.M.IOCL)is absolutely false & baseless because people of Mairwa, Dist. Siwan getting LPG refilled cylinder after 3 to 4 day regular queue. The agency “Ambedkar Indane” blames IOCL for short supply.I know there will no result for public complaint before the corrupt governance because all the authorities are involved in public cheating. But I can not absorb myself to publish my opinion. There is two means to get new LPG connection from Ambedkar Indane Mairwa, Dist. Siwan that is “Money & Mafia”.Who can spend Rs.7000/- will get connection in three month and on expense of Rs.10000/- get connection within 10 days. In transfer case additional Rs.2000/- is to be expend. In special cases for special (Dabang) person there is no time& money bound.
As such there is no hearing of general public grievances.
