Saudi deported terror suspect Fasih Mahmood has been handed over to Bangalore Police for further investigation.  Fasis,  a suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorist involved in blasts in Bangalore and Delhi in 2010.
Additional Sessions Judge Asha Menon handed the custody of Mahmood to Bangalore police after investigators in Delhi told the court that his questioning was over.
Bangalore police, while seeking custody of Mahmood, told the court that they wanted to interrogate him over his alleged role in the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium blast in Bangalore.
The court first sent him to judicial custody and directed the jail authorities to hand over his custody to Bangalore police.
The 35-year-old engineer from Bihar, employed in Saudi Arabia, was arrested at Delhi airport Oct 22 when he arrived after his deportation from Saudi Arabia.
The accused was picked up by the Saudi authorities from Al Jubal May 13 and lodged in a Saudi jail June 26 for suspected terror links, police said.
Mahmood hails from Barh Saaila village in Darbhanga district of Bihar, about 200 km from Patna. His father, Firoz Ahmad, is in-charge of the Benipatti primary health centre in Madhubani district. His mother is a school teacher in Darbhanga, police said.
Mahmood is the second terror suspect that Saudi Arabia, home to over two million expatriate Indians, has deported to India. Alleged 26/11 handler Abu Jundal was sent back to India in June.
